Journeying Through the North Island

Spent the last two days driving from KatiKati to Wellington- a drive I haven't done for a while, and may not do for along time to come.

Had to stop at a few favourite spots on the way:

The view of Waikato coming down the Kaimais

Huka Falls

Lake Taupo

Poutu Canal (a joke from school trips of years gone past)

Mt Ruapehu from Desert Road

Lookout between Mangaweka and Ohingaiti- looking down on the old road bridge we used to drive over when we lived at Rangiwahia

And of course the great waterfront view as you drive into Wellington!
